These imagined landscapes are assembled from vintage magazines; books sourced at thrift stores, Craigslist and Little Free Libraries; and on occasion, items culled from neighbors’ recycling bins. The use of upcycled packaging as a substrate diverts some of the waste stream and creates a link between our endless consumption as a species and its inevitable toll on our natural world. The visible seam lines and die-cut contours serve as a representation of the human impact on our environment.
